* Zazarac: Fill a martini glass with shaved ice. Stir brown sugar syrup laced with bitters into cognac until the sugar has dissipated. Dump the ice. Rinse the martini glass with Absinthe. Strain cognac into rinsed glass. Serve.

* Peter Callesen's A4 cutout paper sculpture (by way of Andii) features several crawly beasties, which are on my mind today, and a host of evocative and allegorical shadow-figures made of... paper and glue.

* Is synesthesia dead?
* Still shot from the film THE FOUNTAIN.

Mmm, cognac Sazeracs. Gotta be Peychaud's Bitters, tho. Angostura just isn't the same.

Ah, I'll keep that in mind when we start experimenting. Thanks!

Oh! Not much to tell really, it's just a funny song, like most of theirs. I'll have to lend you the CD sometime. :)

Hmm, I will have to try the Zazarac, once I figure out where I packed the absinthe.

Synesthesia is more popular than ever. Or at least about as popular.

Is synesthesia dead?

No, that was Girl One. (Comic book reference, but the question was so apt that it had to be made.)

Love the sculptures! I'll have to keep looking at them again and again. There's so much to unpack from them. Thanks for sharing!

I found a sculptor yesterday, http://www.rinusroelofs.nl/pr-slidestructures/pr-sts-00.html; it appears that some of his sculptures may be made out of paper or cardboard, but he doesn't list the media. I found him from one of my favorite sculptor's website, www.georgehart.com. Notice the theme? Check out George Hart's Polyhedra and Art pages; a lot of them are from period. (I need to learn how to put links in comments.)

The paper sculptures are wonderful. You post the most mesmerizing links.
